For generations, families lived in the communities of Kouchibouguac, building their lives along the rivers, shores and estuaries. These were places of home, work, family and deep connection to the land and water.
During the creation of Kouchibouguac National Park, families were displaced and properties were expropriated. Kouchibouguac Heritage preserves the people, places, memories and records connected to these communities so their stories remain part of this place.
